What exactly makes you believe that such action would help?!?!
Where exactly did you get the idea that running Studio as admin has any special effects?!

No, "Run as administrator" has no effect.

Does this happen to a specific file or is it a general issue?

If the latter, please try repairing the installation, which usually helps in case of such issues:
Windows 10: Right-click on Start > Control Panel > Select View by: Small Icons > Programs and Features > select Studio 2019 > right-click and Repair

Also, please make sure that Studio is added as an exception to your firewall, and it is on the white list of your antivirus software - as it can interfere with the program otherwise and can cause unexpected behaviour.

It's a general issue.

I have followed your suggestion to repair Studio and also made sure it is added as an exception to the firewall, but I still have the issue.

I don't think this is an installatiton problem or a Studio problem.  It sounds more like an inssue linked to the settings.  Can you confirm the following:

1. That you are using the bilingual filetype when you open your Excel file?  Maybe after the upgrade you forgot that previously you reordered the filetypes to make sure the bilingual excel filetype was actually being used.
2. Are you using project templates or selecting a previous project as the basis of your new project?

It sounds as though the answer to your problem is simpler to solve and we're going straight for software issues.

Please post a screenshot of your file type settings, demonstrating the issue (e.g. that you "can no longer specify which columns on a bilingual Excel sheet to use as source and target").

I think you might be right.The Bilingual Excel option is third on the list of Excel types. I have tried to drag and drop and also move with the up/down buttons on the keyboard but neither changes its position.

I set up 2019 using the default project template, perhaps this is the problem?
