I can imagine that they did the analyze and only then pretranslated the file. And then when creating the package they did NOT let Studio to recalculate the analysis, but let it put the existing report in the package (this is all configurable in the package creation options, IIRC).

Sounds like this could be the reason for the discrepancy alright.

So you´re saying that there is an option when creating a package where you can allow Studio to not recalculate the analysis? Is it an option or is it more likely that they didn´t select the option which would tell Studio to recalculate?

This also means that  when I open the package and convert it to a project, the Analyze File Report that is included in the project is not created in that moment? It´s an old file. 

I have now tried to run a new Batch tasks > Analyze file, and I get the below error - is it related?

It would be good to know so that I can help explain this to the client so they know what they should be doing.

No, it's not created. It's extracted from the package. It has always worked like this.

No, it's not.
It rather suggests that something is really wrong with your Studio installation.
You should try to repair your installation, or reinstall Studio.

No, there isn't - and never was - such thing as permission to run analysis. Where did you get this idea from?.

It was just an idea seeing as this is the first time that there has ever been an error running the file analysis and I haven´t worked with packages from this client before.
