To resolve the error message "Failed to verify document: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" in Trados Studio 2024 during verification with terminology enabled, follow these steps:

### Step 1: Isolate the Issue

1. Open **File > Options > Verification** in Trados Studio.

2. Uncheck all verification options, including **Terminology Verifier**.

3. Run the verification (F8) without terminology to confirm that the issue is specific to the Terminology Verifier.

### Step 2: Reorganize the Termbase

1. Open your termbase in **MultiTerm**.

2. Use the **Reorganize** function in MultiTerm to ensure the termbase is optimized and free of inconsistencies:

  - In MultiTerm, go to **Termbase Management**.

  - Select your termbase and click **Reorganize**.

3. Save and close the termbase.

### Step 3: Update Trados Studio and MultiTerm

1. Ensure that both **Trados Studio 2024** and **MultiTerm 2024** are updated to the latest versions:

It seems the issue is from the option 'check for possible non-usage of target terms'

Please try to recreate the termbase if this is a local termbase, here is the article with a video showing how to do that:
