the app Highlight Word from RWS app store can not work with extra computer screen.

I have posted this question in the past, but I do not know how to find my previous question, so I report the problem again, sorry. 

The app " Highlight Word" developed by trados team can not work, when I use my laptop with the extra computer screen under the " expanded" or "extended" model, which means the two computer screens will show different content. 

It will  cause trados studio to freeze or "be dead", and I have to force the computer to shut down trados studio completely. 

I have upgraded to trados studio 2022, the problem is still there. 

Please use HDMI cable to connect your laptop with one extra computer screen, and test, find and fix the problem.

  • the screen resolution of all my computer screens are 2k and 3K. I don't know the cause for the problem, Could make the app is compatible with different screen resolution and work well

    I don't really know what might be causing your problem of if it has anything to do with the app... or Studio.  I tried to test it with the two extended screens I have... none of the screens are hi-res I'm afraid and maybe this is why I could not reproduce.  But anyway here's my results:

    Perhaps you can share your Studio log files after this happens.  Maybe there will be something in there?

    In the past, the "find and replace" function  of trados studio have similar problems of being invisible. and I tried to repeated manually adjust the interface of  "find and replace" in front of trados studio to solve the problem. 

    But, for highliht word, I can do nothing about it to bring the interface out.
