I just installed the trial version of Studio on a virtual machine. I have a license but I haven't activated on this device yet since I am still finishing off work on my old computer. When I try to add a file based TM to the trial version, I am getting the message, "Unable to find specified file." I tried moving the file to different locations but no joy. Any advice would be appreciated!

I tried the steps suggested and activated the license but I am still having the same issue. No matter where I try to add a file-based TB from, I get the "unable to find specified file" message. Please any help would be much appreciated.

And do you get this dialog box in Help > Product Activation?
Yes, I did receive that message. In fact, I have since deactivated again so that I can work on another device until I can find the cause of this issue, but when it was activated, I got the message you showed.
Do you use OneDrive or any similar service? If so, could you please try deactivating OneDrive and test again?

It looks like I have solved the problem! It may have been down to my unfamiliarity with using a virtual machine (Parallels). It looks like the file icons on the Windows side were not the actual file, more like a mirror image. When I navigated over to the termbase files on the Mac side I was able to add them. Just sharing it here in case any other technophobes like myself have the same issue in the future.
