Termbase Viewer layout resets to Flags Layout in Trados Studio 2022 SR1

I am using Trados Studio 2022 SR1 - 17.1.6.16252.

Recently, the Termbase Viewer is defaulting to the Flags Layout when the program is started. Each open termbase has to be manually reset to the Default Layout to allow for easy editing. However, this only lasts until the program is restarted.

This is a new issue.

Any ideas?

  • Hello Andrew,

I apologize for the confusion earlier. Let's try a different approach to set the default layout for your termbase in Trados Studio 2022 SR1:

Step 1: Open Trados Studio and navigate to the Termbase Viewer.

Step 2: Change the layout to your preferred one (e.g., Default Layout).

Step 3: Click on 'Catalogue' to open the Catalogue view.

Step 4: Select 'Layouts' from the lower MultiTerm Online toolbar to display the Layouts page.

Step 5: Choose a termbase from the 'Select Termbase' drop-down list and click 'OK'.

Step 6: Select the layout you want to set as the default from the Layouts box.

Step 7: Click 'OK' to set the default layout for the termbase.

This should ensure that your preferred layout is saved and used each time you start the program. If the issue persists, it might be a bug, and I recommend checking for updates within the application to ensure you have the latest version of Trados Studio.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Hello Andrew,

I apologize for the confusion earlier. I appreciate your patience. Let's try another method to set the default layout for your termbase in Trados Studio 2022 SR1:

Step 1: Open Trados Studio and navigate to the Termbase Viewer.

Step 2: Change the layout to your preferred one (e.g., Default Layout).

Step 3: Once you've set your preferred layout, go to the "View" menu at the top of the screen.

Step 4: From the dropdown menu, select "Reset Window Layout."

Please note that this will reset all your window layouts to their default settings. If you have customized other window layouts, you may need to reapply those customizations.

This should ensure that your preferred layout is saved and used each time you start the program. If the issue persists, it might be a bug, and I recommend checking for updates within the application to ensure you have the latest version of Trados Studio.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
