Termbase Viewer layout resets to Flags Layout in Trados Studio 2022 SR1

I am using Trados Studio 2022 SR1 - 17.1.6.16252.

Recently, the Termbase Viewer is defaulting to the Flags Layout when the program is started. Each open termbase has to be manually reset to the Default Layout to allow for easy editing. However, this only lasts until the program is restarted.

This is a new issue.

Any ideas?

  • Hello Andrew,

I understand that you're experiencing an issue with the Termbase Viewer in Trados Studio 2022 SR1, where it defaults to the Flags Layout upon startup. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve this:

Step 1: Open Trados Studio and navigate to the Termbase Viewer.

Step 2: Change the layout to your preferred one (e.g., Default Layout).

Step 3: Once you've set your preferred layout, go to the "File" menu at the top left corner of the screen.

Step 4: From the dropdown menu, select "Setup," then "User Settings."

Step 5: In the User Settings window, navigate to the "Editor" section.

Step 6: Under the "Termbase Viewer" subsection, ensure that the "Remember last used layout" option is checked.

Step 7: Click "OK" to save your changes.

This should ensure that your preferred layout is saved and used each time you start the program. If the issue persists, it might be a bug, and I recommend checking for updates within the application to ensure you have the latest version of Trados Studio.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
