SDL Studio 2019 shuts down after the opening of a wsxz package

Hi everyone,

SDL Studio 2019 shuts down when I try to open the files  of a wsxz package regularly opened.

Do you know why is this happening or how can I avoid this problem?

This happens every time I try to open any file of the project, as soon as the open file is displayed, the software shuts down

Thanks a lot in advance for any help

Best,

Cristina Roli

  • Hello ,

This sounds as though Studio didn't install correctly or part of the installation has become corrupted.

This can happen through a Windows and or AV update.

To try and resolve this please

    1. Exit Studio 2019.
    2. Open Control Panel and then go to 'Programs' -> 'Programs and Features'.
    3. Locate and select 'SDL WorldServer Components 5.1'.
    4. Click the 'Repair' button above the list of programs and wait for the repair to finish (this should only take a few seconds).
    5. Try opening the WorldServer package again.

    If this doesn't work

    1. Exit Studio 2019
    2. Navigate to the following folder :
    C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDLTrados Studio\15
    3. Rename the folder Plugins to Plugins.old
    4. Try opening the WorldServer package.

Please let me know if the issue is now resolved.
