Errore message "File is not a database"

Question

When I try to open some TMs in Studio 2017 I get the aforementioned message. I tried what's suggested in a previous question but it doens't help. Any idea? Thanks

 Two things I can think if...the first I'm not sure of and is more of a guess: 
 
 are you using a MAC and have the SDLTM on the MAC instead of in Windows? I don't know if this would affect anything but worth checking. 
 try running SDLTM repair on your TMs that fail... perhaps there is a problem with the TM? https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/sdltm-repair/298/

 Thanks for sending me your TMs. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do with them as they are completely corrupted. The error message you get in Studio is the exactly the same message you get if you try to open them in a SDLite editor. I tried repairing them by carrying out an emergency dump with some SQL commands and the resultant TM was a new empty one. 
 I really hope you have kept a backup of your TMs because on the basis of the ones you sent me they are irrecoverable. 
 Did anything unusual happen that could have caused all of your TMs to be damaged like this? Do you keep them on an external drive perhaps, or maybe store them on some shared drive somewhere?
