Can you give us some more information to help troubleshoot this?

In project setting I select "add memory" then I add a file-based memory. My TM is .sdltm. I have the same problem with many TMs

Two things I can think if...the first I'm not sure of and is more of a guess:

I use a PC. No, the file I guess is ok as I have the same problem with many of those. I already read the article at the link you mention.
I cannot spot AppData

I managed to change the extension but the problem persists. With one memory I get the same message that it's not a database and with another "It's impossible to detect the requested file" (I am translating form IT sorry)
Can you share one of the affected TMs so I can see whether I have the same problem with it? If yo can please send it to pfilkin@sdl.com maybe via dropbox or googldrive for example if it's large.

Thanks for sending me your TMs. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do with them as they are completely corrupted. The error message you get in Studio is the exactly the same message you get if you try to open them in a SDLite editor. I tried repairing them by carrying out an emergency dump with some SQL commands and the resultant TM was a new empty one.
I really hope you have kept a backup of your TMs because on the basis of the ones you sent me they are irrecoverable.
Did anything unusual happen that could have caused all of your TMs to be damaged like this? Do you keep them on an external drive perhaps, or maybe store them on some shared drive somewhere?

I do, but it's a copy of the one I sent you :-(
It must have been a file retrieval when I accidentally canceled the whole folder with my translations. Luckily I recovered almost everything. I'll do some alignments with my old translations. Thank you so much for your time and efforts. I really appreciate it.
