It may help if you repair or reset Studio.

First make sure you have both Studio and MultiTerm up to date with the latest updates, via Help>Check for Updates in each of these programs.

Then, follow the steps given in this SDL Support Knowledge page:

Repairing your installation of SDL Trados Studio

after you have tried all 4 steps, if the problem is still occurring, then if you dn't have a support contract, follow the shortcut Web Form for TP Licensing & Installation Issues at the end of the instructions. It takes you to an online form to fill in. Give your email address accurately and select 'Installation' from the Case Type dropdown.

Once you'e done all that, something else that will speed Studio up is to turn off/uncheck the fragment recall/repair functionality if you don't use it, as follows:

File>Options:

and...

Project Settings:

and

It is worth noting that Project Settings always overrule the profile settings made via File>Options.

Did you see both my posts?

You may find that the settings in the second post will be enough to stop the crashes. However, the steps in the first post are advisable for a really clean installation of Studio that works to its optimum.
