This has been posted several times, yet it does not seem like there is a solution, so I am desperately trying to see if somebody has come up with something. I have this expensive piece of software that simply does not work, whatever I do.

When I try to open a single file, most of the time I get the dialogue box, where the wrong source language variant is suggested, and when I change it to the right one, I do not get offered any TMs any more. If I go with the wrong language variant, I have a list of TMs available. A few times I have had to go with that and use AnyTM, however, I have the wrong spellcheck, wrong dates and numbers and that is simply no way to work. If I get a ttx file, I can enter a language variant into the document on text editor, but for plain documents this does not work.

I could create a project even for a single document, however, this feature does not work either - it takes inordinate amount of time, inf fact, I cannot tell you how long, because the longest I have seen was 14 hours after which I just terminated the programme. Basically, it never ends.

I should add that the project problem has been happening in all OS installations I have had. The TM not showing problem is patchy but mostly turns up with all OS installations as well. I have just reinstalled my OS, hoping I will finally be able to use Studio, but, even though it solved other problems, I am still unable to use it. I do not have the support agreement, as I am tired of buying the upgrades to software that does not work, and support is available only for latest versions. I just want one version, just one, that would do what it is supposed to do - work.

I use Studio 2017, Windows 10 on a four core laptop with 16 GB RAM. And whenever Studio runs into difficulties, it takes up 100% of my CPU. 

Please help! Somebody! Anybody!
