I regularly translate legal acts, regulations, soft law instruments and contracts and find that I frequently have problems with items like "1a" in say "Article 1a" or "2b" as in "Article 7 para. 2b" not identifying as placeables. How can I set this up?
Similiarly the autocorrect likes to then capitalise them, which I would like to disable.
ie. 1a >>> 1A and 2b >>> 2B.
How do I go about this.
A possible suggestion for the first part of your question: do you have "recognise alphanumeric strings" checked in your translation memory settings?
It could be that. Perhaps someone who knows the inner workings of Studio could clarify.
I just checked on my side and two-character alphanumerics are recognised:
Paul a follow-up to this has occurred when having to do accessibility checks in the documents - and the problem that 2a and 2b threw up there has resulted in having to also handle such indents differently, with the numbers handled as separate units also for accessibility purposes.
