Dear Sir/Madam,
I have tried repeatedly to open, in Studio 2014, a wsxz package sent to me by a customer. The Open Package wizard reaches the "Preparing Package for Import" screen, and then stops with the error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". I have tried the following workarounds:
1) Saving the wsxz package file to a different folder.
2) Resetting the Window layout.
3) Deleting the settings files and restarting Studio 2014.
4) Running a repair installation of Studio 2014.
5) Checking for updates in Studio 2014 (it is up to date).
6) Asking the project manager to re-send the file, and trying again with the re-sent version.
None of these solutions has worked, and with the deadline approaching I need to find a way of starting the translation. The text of the error message is as follows:
