translating a balance sheet

Dear all, 
 can you help me in finding an efficient way to translate a PDF reporting a 50 page balance sheet? Text is not a problem, but how can I manage all those numbers, columns, items in parentheses, negative numbers? I tried with the first 3 pages, but once I have finalized the file the formatting was such a problem that I had to erase the whole work and retype everything from scratch inserting tables. What would you suggest? 
 Shall I write numbers manually. How can Trados help in this situation? TKS

Can you explain why the formatting of the numbers was wrong? Was it because of the position in the page, or because the commas and decimals are in the wrong place for example? It would help to have more of a visual explanation of the problem and then we can help with the appropriate advice.
