I am writing to you directly because you helped me before.

Today I transfered Studio 2017 from my second computer (Windows 10 + Office 2016) to my first computer (Windows 8.1 + Office 2013). Everything works except the major point: I can add a Word file to an existing project (which I did to just test the entire software install), but then I cannot perform a batch task on it such as analyzing or preparing for translation. It does not matter whether it is a .doc file from 1999 or a .docx file from one week ago. The context menu of Batch tasks is just grayed out. I can also not add Powerpoint etc.

Please tell me what to do. Or does it have to do with the different Office version?

Two probable reasons for this:

1. Maybe you need to save the file so it creates a project.  If there is no project the batch tasks are not available, or
2. maybe you finalized the project and now you need to revert to sdlxliff first as the Finalize task closes the project down.
