We are using the SDL Passolo 2016 and it is constantly crashing lately when trying to update/import/generate literally anything on one of our projects (.NET forms).
I am at the latest version on Windows 10 which is the 16.0.412.0
The Windows event viewer creates that entry but it doesn't say much.
Could you please help me through that?

I'm sorry, but I don't think that this can be answered in a forum like this without analyzing the files and project. Please also have in mind that Passolo 2016 is not supported anymore. If you have a support contract, you can log a support case at https://gateway.sdl.com/
After visiting the link, it seems that I do not, but I mean it was working the whole time like that and suddenly now it stopped. And it is not project specific. I crashes no matter which project I open.
If this project worked before and does not work now, it would be necessary to evaluate what has changed and whether this is specific to the computer or is due to the project's files. Tests that would come to my mind:
Does it work if Passolo and all the project files are installed on a different computer?
What has changed by development, and does it work when using a backup of the source files and the project?
Hi Ronald - another potential solution (if this starts happening suddenly) is to use "View -> Reset Window Layout" in the string list (and potentially other screens as well). I had this personally at some stage - Passolo would crash out of the blue frequently while I was working in the string list with the Translation Assistant active. It turned out that one of the view parts (I think it was the Translation window) had slightly moved off screen and this was not handled very robustly back then. After resetting the window to the default layout, the crashes went away. Just a wild guess.

We are using a floating license server and clients are installed on different machines. Every client has the same issue out of the blue. That's not only happening to me. And also to any project file.

When I'm trying to update a string list or import anything or try to export an output dll the window just disappears.

I have tested the Update function of Passolo 2016 on my up-to-date Windows 10 system with a .NET WinForm based DLL project and it works fine. So no general problem.
I think that's the .Net parser that causes the crash but I can't prove it because the window just disappears when I'm trying to update/create a string list or when I'm trying to generate a target file.
