If the license is active on your computer you should be able to work without any issues. The fact that the license shows as available in your account doesn`t affect Studio functionality in any way. 

However if you want to deactivate Studio locally and reactivate the license you can follow these steps: 

1. Close Studio.
2. Go to: C:\ProgramData\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18\Data
3. Rename the file Studio.lic, e.g. to Studio_old.lic.
4. Reactivate Studio.

Note: If you can't find the path above, open Windows File Explorer, click on View and check "Hidden Items" checkbox.

Thank you so much for such swift response Sorin!! No, I can't work, Studio closes immediately. I will try the steps you suggested.

there is no such file named "studio.lic" on my computer, I searched in "programme" (corresponding to "programdata" you suggested) and "programme (x86)" as well as in my user folder.

Can you help me from this point?

More precisely: It closes as soon as I start to perform any steps on a project. F.ex. when I open files for translation, or when I try to integrate a termbank into a project.

It`s possible that some settings got corrupted during the mirroring process or during the Windows 11 update. 

Try to reset Studio settings as described in this article: https://sdl.service-now.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0039270

When reopening the projects make sure that these are saved locally on your computer and not on a shared drive (OneDrive or something similar).

Oh Sorin I'm so grateful you are here!

I performed the steps you suggested. When re-opening studio, it still was activated. When re-opening the project, studio crashed (when I tried to add a TB, the TMs I added before were still there).

Do you have still ideas? Maybe the issue is not the licence, as you also said in your first post. If not, what in the project could cause the problem? Or something in the interaction of windows 11 and studio?

the project manager couldn't detect any problem on her side.

Sorin, that was the problem! I'm really embarrassed, but due to the package name, studio created a far too long folder name and the path became super long, too. Like a beginner, I didn't realize at all.

Please don't be cross with me for keeping you busy so much time!

I was confused because of simultaneously migrating to a new computer, having windows updated and the mysterious licence issue (which practically does not seem to be an issue, indeed).

So this is solved - have a great afternoon and enjoy holidays, soon.
