Trados Business Manager – End of Life Announcement

Trados Business Manager (TBM) has reached end of life. Following the discontinuation of TBM sales on 31 October 2023, all maintenance and support services will conclude on 31 October 2024.
What Does This Mean for TBM Users?

  • End of Services: RWS will no longer provide any services related to the installation or updating of TBM.
  • Existing Installations: TBM will remain functional where already installed, but the RWS support team will not offer assistance in troubleshooting issues, addressing reported problems, or providing further development for TBM.
  • Documentation: The TBM documentation has been removed from docs.rws.com.
  • Community Support: The community forum for TBM will remain accessible in a read-only format for users to reference if needed.

Activation of Business Manager Lite after HD change

As I didn't change PC but only the HD. That's why I "forgot" to desactivate my Business Manager Lite license (same for Studio) before. Problem is that when I want to edit more than 8 quotes, I get a message telling that I'm in demo mode. Unfortunately the Activation button doesn't work (nothing happens when I click on it).

I tried to perform an offline desactivation but this didn't work neither?

What can I do?

    I'm having a similar issue since about a month ago so I stopped using Business Manager Lite altogether.

    The message I get says I "can't create more than 15 quotes in demo mode."

    I keep my Trados updated and currently the version shown is Trados Studio 2021 SR2 - 16.2.10.9305.

    Within BML the big Activation icon (under the Home ribbon) does not seem to work either (it does work, the small Product Activation one, under the Help ribbon)

    I have not changed computers, or the hard drive.
