How can I learn how to fix Content Importer notes and errors?

Hi,

I am new to using Content Importer and want to use available reference material to help me understand the feedback (Notes and Errors) that I am seeing in the tool

after trying to import valid DITA content.

Can you advise where I can find this reference material to help me progress with this?

Thanks in advance,

Ann

Trados Studio Content Importer error log showing multiple 'Value is missing for the 'Contact' required field' errors and 'The topic cannot be created in topic folder' errors.

  • Dear Ann,

The message 'Value is missing for the "Contact required" field of object xxx... indicates that you are missing this mandatory property in the metadata which gets assigned and used to create the object in the repository.
You should be able to provide a value for this field through a post xsl file. You can specify the xsl file to be used in the UI.

More information about the post process xsl file and how to apply this in the process can be found in the help functionality of the tool.

The message "The LovValue Low does not exist" means that you have assigned a default resolution to import graphical objects which is not existing/is not a valid value for your configuration.
So please update this default value in order to have another Resolution value used.

    I hope this helps,

    Kind Regards,

    Raf

  • Hi Raf,

Thanks for your reply. I hadn't noticed the Help link at the bottom of the UI as it's so small.

I still don't have any context for the "Contact required" field and its purpose. I cannot find any documentation that explains why I need this field, what value it should have and where I set it.

Can you advise where I can learn more about it?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ann

  • I think you need to contact your internal Tridion Docs champion. As "Contact required" is not a standard field, but probably one added by your company's requested customizations. Probably same goes for the image resolutions, as "Low" is there out of the box, unless it is renamed or removed by customization.
