Integrating PDF generation in HTML 5 plugin

Hello developers,

I am generating PDF along with HTML5 output using ant target inside HTML build. Is it a good idea? will it affect SDL publishing performance?

Thanks

  • Hi Roopesh,

This question is quite the same to community.sdl.com/.../20318

In essence you (the customer) decide what makes sense as One OutputFormat. If that result is magic or a combination of magic, that is your call. On the performance, we can only ask to keep that in mind, as you do. But we cannot assess from this position what it really means as we are missing environment details and data sizes to name a few.

PS: Perhaps the 'Linda Miller' seems either a user mistake, or it could become 'spam' at some point.... let's see what happens. (
  • Hi Dave,

Apology for the confusion here . I am using knowledge center 2016. I have created template for generating webhelp and PDF documents using DITA OT stylesheets. in KC 2016, PDF and HTML webhelp are generating in a different export directory. I am trying to zip both HTML and PDF and generate a single output. This can be done via SDL publish.swf file. But i am not good in publishing script. What i am currently looking a way to zip both documents(PDF, html wbhelp) in a single zip file.

    Thanks
