Tridion Docs 15.3 continues our commitment to turning customer feedback into product improvements. This release delivers community-driven enhancements across translation management, Publication Editor, Collective Spaces, and AI-assisted authoring.

Let's look at the community ideas that made their way from the ideas portal into Tridion Docs 15.3.

Organize Space and translation management

Let us start our journey through the community ideas list from Organize Space.

In the context of the Tridion Docs 15.2 release, we shipped the updated Translation Management feature. Customers have responded positively to the updated Translation Management experience while also suggesting additional ways to simplify configuration.

Several customers told us that they consistently work with a single source language and translation template and want to avoid repeating the same selections every time a Translation Job is created. We streamlined the process, and these are now automatically pre-selected in the Translation Job wizard. 

A large number of customers exclude images from translation; the Image option is now unselected by default in the Translation Job creation wizard, simplifying the configuration process. 

Additionally, for situations where the default size of the Translation Job wizard is insufficient, we have introduced an option to expand it to full screen for a more comfortable working area.

Adjusting the file name for the exported translation job to simplify parsing logic and improve integration with third-party translation tools is another change that was requested by our community. To address this request, we updated the export filename format.

Publication Editor

Several highly requested community ideas have now been incorporated into the Publication Editor, the new web-based, cross-platform evolution of Publication Manager.

Indication that the baseline is frozen, which was asked in the community, is added to the Baseline view and the Versions panel. This improves ease of use and enhances productivity for Organize Space users.

Highly voted request to enable filtering in Baseline view is added as a default feature for Publication Editor, where you can use column filters or type-to-filter.

Another idea that was added to the new Publication Editor is the possibility to add multiple publication resources in one go.

Collective Spaces

Let us continue with community ideas that improve collaboration in Draft Space and Review Space.

We added an annotation management privilege that provides granular control over the annotation review process for customers in Collective Spaces and protects sensitive data in the application. Users with Annotation management can read shared comments and unshared comments for all users, while users without it can only read their own and shared comments.

Review Space continues to provide an in-context environment for reviewing final documents. For customers who rely on conditional content, Review Space now supports displaying it through a configuration option (off by default), enabling teams to tailor the review experience.

Since introducing an integration with Oxygen AI Positron for experimentation in previous releases, we have received valuable feedback from customers exploring AI-assisted authoring workflows. Based on this feedback, all actions that apply to a single topic have now been validated for use with the Tridion Docs integration and are available directly through the Oxygen AI Positron user interface.

Tridion Docs 15.3 incorporates ideas spanning translation management, publication authoring, review workflows, and AI-assisted content creation. Every one of these improvements started with customer feedback.
