ddtbxxxx.tmp files in Tomcat Temp

Question

Dear Community, Our server team just reported that one of our servers is running low on space and there is a large number of files in the Tomcat Temp folder. Almost all of these are ddtbxxxxx.tmp files. From what I could see on line, these files should be deleted automatically when the program that created them is finished with them. Some have been around since 2018! Any idea if I can delete these manually, and better yet, how can I get garbage collection to clean these up.?

You can, in the FTS launcher configuration files, specify folders to clean up and a date range (like 15 days) after which the FTS server should delete files from that location. I think this would meet your need.

 As Eric wrote, you can configure the FTS Launcher file to clean up any folder, including the "temp" folder. However, as mentioned in the article, you need to check the location of the "DependencyFiles" folder. This folder is stored under the "temp" folder out of the box and should be excluded from clean-up or you need to make sure that you do not delete files that you might need for your active projects (when saving or importing Return package).
