Studio 2017 Autosuggest dictionary won't load.

Just upgraded from Studio 14 to Studio 17. Autosuggest dictionary built from existing translation memory without a problem, but then when I try to load it I get "Autosuggest dictionary could not be read". Any ideas welcome.

Hi Keith,

Where is your BPM stored? There was an update of the version of SQL that Studio uses which may return an error if a reserved character is followed by another one:

system.data.sqlite.org/.../bbdda6eae2

So using a \\ in the path for example could return this error. Try copying the BPM to a location on your hard drive if you happen to be using a local network for example.

Paul,
Do you know if this will change at any point in the future? In our agency, I prefer to use network paths that start with \\ rather than a local folder. I could also circumvent this by mapping the network folder to a drive, but I'd rather move away from this practice.
I'm able to use \\ network paths for all other location settings in Studio 2017.

Hi Uta - Just to confirm that we will attempt to address this issue in an upcoming CU for Studio 2017. I cannot yet say exactly when, but it is on the list of candidates. (Note - there will be a CU soon that will introduce compatibility with GroupShare 2017 - but this CU will not yet have that fix). Thanks, Daniel
