How to restore Studio icons for Studio files?

Dear Studio 2015 users,

I seem to have lost the Studio icon for Studio files since I migrated to Windows 10.  Instead of displaying the icon that shows the file is a Studio file (be it a TM, termbase or sdlxliff file), now I only see a generic, plain icon next to Studio files.

Is there a way to bring back the correct icons for these files?

Thank you.

  • Hi Paul,

If I run a repair for Studio, some Studio setup files would be installed back to the Default location, right?
I managed to move all of the files to OneDrive with several trial and error attempts, so I don't know if I want to go through this again.
Actually, I am not even sure if using OneDrive to share Studio projects between my laptop and desktop is a good idea after all. Studio tends to save certain files (can't remember exactly which kinds) in the default location, so it creates more work (and trouble) for me. In addition to this, I get the TM is protected message from time to time, probably when OneDrive is sending the data on my computer to the Cloud. After I finish my current projects, I will investigate my approach and decide whether the benefits of using OneDrive outweigh the trouble. In the meantime, if you have experience in this area, please share it.
I guess this whole OneDrive approach is more for experts like Jerzy, not for median level users like myself.
