Merging two TMs which have different segmentation rules

Dear all, 
 I am using Trados Studio 2022 SR2 and I would like to merge two TMs which were built with different segmentation rules. 
 I understand the best way to do it is by exporting one of the TMs to a .tmx file and importing it in the other (please, confirm). If this is the case, would there be any loss of segments because or the different segmentation rules? Would the segmentation rules in the importing TM prevail? Which would be the best practice for this kind of operation?

 Yes, to merge TM A and TM B you may perform an export of TM B and import the segments into TM A. Invalid segments may be filtered and not imported into TM A, but you wouldn't want to have them in there anyways. 
 The segmentation rules only apply as soon as you open a document for translation in the editor. 
 If you import TM B into TM A, the segmentation rules of TM A will prevail; segmentation rules will not be imported. Only the Translation Units stored in a TM and all their meta data (creation date, creating user, etc.) will be imported. I hope this helps. Best
