Bogdan Valean resolved the problem yesterday, but the same thing happend this morning. Trados Studio 2024 suddenly closed and won't open again, only the wizzard starts.
I renamed the files (18, Trados Studio), then started as an administrator, with no result. What could be the root cause? How can I prevent this from happening again? Do I need to run the wizzard?
Please go to the folder Documents\Studio 2024\Projects and rename the projects.xml to _projects.xml, then try again and report.

Dear Jerzy, OK, it opens, that's good, thanks! By the way, in my system it's a folder called Projects, I changed the name of the folder into _Projects, and the individual projects are to be found inside that folder, they don't appear in the list of projects (which is empty). But why does this happen evey now and then, and is there a way to prevent this from happening?
In that very folder you'll find a file called projects.xml. You only need to rename this very file, NOT the whole folder. When you do so, your projects won't be listed, but you can simply open them form the Projects view using the command "Open project". This is why you should NOT rename the complete folder, as this will change the paths.
The reason for the disaster is simple: the projects.xml file got damaged due to crash or other reasons. This does happen rarely, but when it happens, Studio fails to start.

Dear Jerzy, I'm sorry to bother you again, but I opened Trados just now and it goes wrong again, that is: it doesn't open and only the wizzard starts. I renamed de 18 folder, then the Trados Studio folder, then the projects.xml file, then the Project folder, each time with no result. So I've tried everything, I think I need a definite solution, if it exists... What to do now, I can't use Trados, and I need it for my work... I think the problem has to do with the fact that when I open Trados, when it works, very often automatically two instances open at the same time: Trados and the wizzard, and I have to close the wizzard. If that could be solved, I think the problem wouldn't recur, maybe.
