Trados Studio 2024 SR1 - 18.1.2.6370: CTRL+F does not work

Dear All,

I can see the question has been asked several times over the years for different Trados versions and different solutions have been proposed: Reset Window Layout, resetting the keyboard shortcuts, closing other applications that may be using CTRL+F.

I have tried these three proposals but the problem is still not fixed.

Interestingly, when pressing CTRL+F and hovering with the mouse over the taskbar icon for the opened Trados application, a small blank window seems to have been opened minimized but when clicked on, still nothing happens.

Suggestions are welcome.

Best regards,

Pavel

  • Hi there!  : what normally always works for me is to hover the mouse over the blank window, right clicking on it an then selecting Move. Then, move press either the left or right arrow (it doesn't work if you try to move it with the mouse). You may have to click on the arrow several times. The window normally appears at the bottom of one of the screens. If that doesn't work, you can alway delete the Studio18 folder here : C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio and the restart Studio. Hope it helps!
