No, you won’t lose any projects (you’ll just need to add the projects).

I tried that and there were only two of the xml files there which I renamed with an underscore before the file name (see screenshot below). But it didn't make any difference, Trados still won't open. 

So if I uninstall then add the projects again, the one I am in the middle of at the moment will still be there with the work I have done to date?

pluginchache.xml has not been renamed… Try again renaming the 3 XMLs:

But there isn't an xml file with that name

If still doesn’t work, I’d try workaround #4.

But that is not an xml file, it is an html document.

I have tried it and it doesn't work still. I will try workaround #4. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Are you sure?

Note that your Windows Explorer is not showing file extensions. If it did, I think you'd see it’s an XML file (screenshot from my computer showing file extensions):

OK, I renamed those html files but still nothing. I will try #4, thanks for all your help.

I get the same issue. I try opening Studio and I get a black window as if the software was opening but it never does.

I tried restarting my computer and repairing the software. Nothing works.

If I try the solutions you suggested, will I lose my settings and plugins?

Also, I had been informed I could keep Trados Studio 2022 but it won't open either (apparently because the 2024 version is using the same key?) so I have no backup solution.

Same problem here and nothing solved the problem. Where can I find information on how to reinstall the program? Thanks!
