I'm translating a document from English to Portuguese.
Trados identified "Lv.1" in the English source text as a variable and flagged it as a repeated item.
However, during actual translation, I couldn’t automatically replace "Nv.1" in Portuguese with "Nv.2" because the Portuguese "Nv.1" was not recognized as a variable.
Lv.1, lv.2 and on are recognised as alphanumeric strings not as variables. You can confirm that if you remove Alphanumeric strings from the tokens recogonized in your last screenhsot (no more blue underscore below Lv.1) or if you press the shprtcut CTRL+comma in the Editor (Lv.1 will show up as an item to be inserted):

Both of them can manipulate the translation base don the original source using regex.
