Here is a bear of little brain, trying to understand what you are trying to achieve… You want to translate form EN to TW, and then to CN? (TW as source for CN?) Or EN → TW and EN → CN in parallel?

Daniel Hug  Original file is in English.  It will be translated into Traditional Chinese in Trados and from that is the need to us Export to Review or any other technique.

While the export to / import from bilingual review file is a bit brittle, it works for all file types. Just don't do anything to the file in Trados between exporting and re-importing the doxc.

Daniel Hug XLF files are an issue.  Those have language codes built into them.  Would not exporting and importing be an issue.
Export out is a Docx file but if the original file in Trados is an idml file would that not be an issue?

If your source is IDML, you import into Trados, and Trados creates an XLF (SDLXLIFF, which is an XLF). Export to DOCX, review, import DOCX to update SDLXLIFF. Then export from Trados to IDML (generate target files). This should work without problems.

Daniel Hug Tried this for idml and does look good.   Still need to figure out how to handle xlf files, but this is a big help for many other formats.

XLF files are the same. Studio converts them to SDLXLIFF, and from there it's the same as if it was an IDML or any other file format.

Daniel Hug Yes, they do export over but problem with them is the internal coding.  Within Drupal xlf files they insert a language code specific to that language and if you export out the Traditional Chinese and import back the Docx that is Simplified the xlf will still have the coding for Traditional and will not upload properly within the clients drupal program.

You can't use the bilingual review functionality for that. You need to create a second project Traditional Chinese (source) to Simplified Chinese (target). If you want this to be done by somebody without Studio access, you can copy source to target and use the bilingual review function, although it's not designed for that. I don't know how big the differences between Traditional and Simplified Chinese are ...

The target files from the second project should have Simplified Chinese as language code if Drupal conforms to all the standards.
