Unable to update TM

My Trados somehow fails to upload my TM.

Even though a warning messages indicates that no TMs for the selected language pair are found, I have confirmed that the language pair of the TM is correct as shown in the second image.

Is there any way I can solve this issue?

Thanks for your help.

Trados Studio warning message stating 'No translation memories found to update for language pair English (United States)->Japanese (Japan).'Trados Studio Translation Memory Settings showing the correct language pair English (United States) as the source and Japanese (Japan) as the target.

  • Hello,

Based on your description, it seems like you're experiencing an issue with your Translation Memory (TM) in Trados Studio. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot this issue:

Step 1: Confirm the Language Pair

Ensure that the language pair of your TM matches the language pair of your project. This is crucial as Trados Studio will not be able to use a TM if the language pair does not match.

Step 2: Check the TM Settings

Go to Project Settings -> Language Pairs -> [Specific Language Pair] -> Translation Memory and Automatic Translation. Make sure the correct TM is selected for your language pair.

Step 3: Use All Language Pairs

If the issue persists, you can try moving your TMs to All Language Pairs. To do this, go to Project Settings -> Language Pairs -> All Language Pairs -> Translation Memory and Automatic Translation. Add your TMs here and click OK to save.

    Step 4: Update Project Templates

If you have any project templates that contain the old TM settings, make sure to update them as well.

Please try these steps and see if they resolve your issue. If the problem persists, it might be a more complex issue that requires further investigation.

    Best regards,

Yes but what is odd is in the first image there is no mention of the file.
So I suspect there is conflict between TM languages and the project languages.

Can you send us an image of your SDLXLIFF / Languages?
