Xliff 1.2 file is not recognised by Trados Team

We work with a lot of different file types, including xliff. Usually, xliff files don't cause a lot of trouble, but recently we received an xliff version 1.2 file from our product adoption software that Trados Team simply will not recognise as translatable. The error I get is "Could not scan file for file type XLIFF 1.1-1.2 v 2.0.0.0"

I have tried changing some settings in the xliff 1.1-1.2 v 2.0.0.0 setting, but I'm not sure what the cause of the issue is. I also tried creating a new file type specifically for these files, but again it's difficult not knowing what the issue is, and tried using the XLIFF 2.0 setting just in case. All with the same results. 

Any idea why this xliff 1.2 file would not be compatible with the file type in Trados Team or how I could change the settings?

    It seems that a missing source language was the issue here. I added the source language (as suggested by the AI response) and it works fine now.
