I am trying to locate information on best standards on optimizing files by creators to allow less issues when being brought into Trados Studio. Also, so translators would have to spend less time re-formatting after translation.
I have found such a document for Word, put what do's and don't are there for files like PowerPoint, Excel, Drupal Web pages, Wordpress, idml, Articulate Storyline and any other possible file types that could be brought into Studio.
Could yo please share the document you found for Word files?

I love how a couple sentences read so simply and reasonably. The problem in answering however - is not any of these things.
I am not part of content creation so lets see if anyone in the RWS Community can help you more.
In the meantime and for what its worth, this is my view:
Oana Nagy has covered many topics throughout last year webinars, some of which is "managing what comes" into Trados Studio for the very reason you touched on:
so translators would have to spend less time re-formatting after translation.
But I am fully aware the the information shared was only the tip of the maintain. The resounding point given was the importance of understanding the source file and correlating them to the Studio file type processing features, while offsetting that against the job requirements.
The sessions were from a reactive stance, where as you are trying to be proactive from the start of the source creation. The latter for many organisations is hard to get right, so we go back to understanding the document coming in and getting Studio to manage it well.
This is an area that can be implemented with immediate effects compared an organisation to agreeing to best standards.
Please do continue to reach out, understand the journey of the source files to see if those in "creation" can help those is "localisation".

It maybe the files are adhering to correct formats & structure - but I could offer you tips / tricks in Studio!

Here is the PDF I found for optimizing word.
I knew this would be challenging subject. Not all who translate can be in the position to create a best standard, but I am hoping that there might be more like the Word Optimization file I attached from a company. If more of this can be found by some creators in long run can likely help the translation community.
The attached PDF shows a lot of the issues have run into when getting word files. One example would be Table of Contents. You get some many different ways people will create them. Unless the translator does turn on the character option in Formatting the formatting can be thrown off.
PowerPoint files when creator puts in a jpg image expecting it to be translatable just because it is in a PPT file. There are more items that can be problematic I suspect and looking for those things. It might be what some of the community has run into and put those into some sort of document. Possibly someone here has found such a thing and we might have a collection of such documents here.
