'Already Contains a Source File' Message After Deletion & wanting to add it back

Question

At times, I encounter an issue where the file cannot be opened in Trados (unable to open). 
 So I will remove the file and then re-add it. However, during this process, Trados consistently displays the message "already contains a source file." 
 And in order to add it back I would need to change the file name, which is implausible for returning the client's target file. 
 Is this a known issue or it never bothered anyone?

 You should remove the file in the source language, not in the target language: 
 
 So you have to click on the drop-down menu with the languages in files view and remove the file there. If you remove it in the target language section, the source language file remain there and you will keep getting the error message. HTH.
