When working on a GroupShare project, every few segments the message "Generating preview" appears in the bottom bar and freezes the program for a minute or so.
Imagine my frustration when working on a long project and I have to wait a minute every few segments.
And it seems that this issue has been around for some time now with older versions of Studio too (I'm using 2022). How is this still not fixed? What is up with this preview problem?

What version of Trados Studio 2022 are you using?
There was an issue raised with development, reference CRQ-24385 a while back. From the notes, Generating preview seemed related to GroupShare TM's.
Perhaps test by removing the TM's to see if it behaves.
If removing TM's helped, its its likely it was fixed in the latest version of Trados Studio 2022 SR1
If your removal of TM's did not improve - then the case scenario is different.

I'm still experiencing this issue; I shouldn't have to disable TMs, they are a huge resource when translating.
Why there isn't a disable option for such a specific feature? I'm sure only very minority of linguists actually use this. Looking at the past community posts this has been a problem forever. Why is this still an issue? Why not just let us disable this very unnecessary feature. And on top of that disabling TMs do not even work to solve the issue! This is such bad design I'm astonished.
