TMs not working, even after Studio 2022 SR2 and upgrading, re-indexing and recomputing stats of TM

Hi everyone,

I was editing last night (with NMT) when my TM stopped working.

Shortly before stopping, a message appeared (about upgrading?...), but I closed it by mistake before I could read all of it.

I've done all the above, i.e., updating 2022-SR2, upgrading, re-indexing and recomputing stats (despite the note 'there is not need to recompute...').

Assistance is most welcome here!

Thanks in advance!

    when my TM stopped working.

What did stop working on the TM?

Is the TM attached to the Project Settings? Could you please post a screenshot, something like this?

Trados Studio Project Settings window showing Translation Memory and Automated Translation settings with three language pairs: English-French, English-German, and English-Japanese. Each has a warning icon indicating an issue.

  • Hi Jesús

    Thanks a lot for replying!

Let me try to explain the "TM stopped working" thing.

The field that used to show translation results (from the TM) went blank. All it showed was this message "no matches found or no lookup performed" (in the print below). I mean the place above the source and target segment columns.

Now, yesterday I created another project to translate documents from the same material. For this new project, I used  the same TM and termbase as in the previous one in the print, and also NMT, like the previous. The results field now shows results normally. But it's not suggesting translations that I had confirmed in the previous project. AND in windows explorer, the latest change shown for this TM is 11/21/2023. So it's not saving when I confirm segments, I guess...

I'm still at a loss. I'm being able to use Trados and the termbase, and that helps, but apparently the TM is still not in its normal use.

After this print, I'm including one from 'project settings'.

Hope this provides some clue. And thanks a lot for the reply!

Screenshot of Trados Studio's Project Settings window with Translation Memory and Automated Translation settings displayed, no visible errors.
