I just installed the SR2 update and now Trados is unable to find any of my term bases

Just as the title says. I even created a brand new term base and when I try to attach it to the project, Trados cannot find it.

I have opened my term bases in Multiterm and the actual term bases are fine.

  • I don't use OneDrive, but I am on a Mac and the problem was that my entire Trados folder was in a Parallels shared folder. I tested it out by moving that one term base to the root drive and it worked fine. I have now moved my entire folder to the root drive and I'm not having the problem of the term base not being found anymore. That part is fine.

I solved another problem by choosing the screen re-layout option. Before that, Multiterm would not show the Term Recognition window. It always stayed on the screen that is displayed when you add a new term.

The final problem of terms not always being found has always been an issue. I don't have any work for that one particular client for which the term base is more critical than all the others because they are a municipality and they are slower now before the holidays. I will make a point to pay attention to see if it's still happening on other jobs.

I do have Multiterm updated to the latest version as well and the first thing I did when I had trouble was that I reorganized the term base.

I have been using Trados and Multiterm since 1996 I think ...
