Error message and impossibility to use termbase plug in after installation of update 17.2.8.18668 version on 28.11.2023 for Trados Studio 2022

Trados Studio 2022 updated to 17.2.8.18668 version on 28.11.2023.

Good afternoon!

After I updated Trados Studio 2022  (and Multiterm 2022, but I don't know if this is the case), to the 17.2.8.18668 version on 28.11.2023. I received an error message about the terminology provider of one of my customer (ML.TB.2022.sdlplugin).

(Continue below)

Error message in Trados Studio 2022 indicating failure to load 'Sdl.Terminology.TerminologyProvider.Core.AbstractTerminologyProvider' from assembly.Trados Studio 2022 project view with ML.TB Terminology Provider selected but showing no notifications.Plugin management window in Trados Studio with ML.TB Terminology Provider plugin highlighted.

So this what I tried to do:

1) on the end of my customer everything was ok

2) uninstalled the plugin, restart computer and application, re-installed the plugin (downloaded again from their portal), re-starded PC

3) repair Trados Studio 2022 and Multiterm 2022

4) restored PC to a moment before the download of the Trados Studio 2022 update, but (I do not know why) Trados Studio disappeared! So I cancelled the restoration procedure and everything was again as before

5) I had the 2 .exe files of Trados Studio 2022 and Multiterm 2022 with the old version when I download these product for the first time, so I deactivated my licence and uninstalled both Trados Studio 2022 and Multiterm 2022 and then installed them again from the old .exe files and, surprise, no more error message! The plugin worked fine and now I can see and use my customer's termbase, but Trados Studio 2022 is NOT updated. So, now what? If I want to work with this customer My Trados Studio 2022 has to be NOT updated, but at what risk?

Trados Studio 2022 project settings showing ML.TB Terminology Provider selected with an update notification for version 17.2.8.18668.

Is there a solution now?

Could you help me to solve this problem?

Thank you.

Kind regards

Giulietta
