If you work with project TMs, then you can run one of these Batch Tasks:

• Finalize the files/project or
• Update Main Translation Memories

The Finalize task also generates the target files, so the second batch task may be simpler if you already have the target files generated.

Thanks, but this process doesn't work either.

It runs properly, it says no errors, but when opening the tm, new segments are not there.

Our tms are upgraded, and it used to work out always very well.

Any other ideas, please?

How do you check that segments are not in the TM? Did you check it by opening the already translated XLIFF in Trados Studio and let it show you matchings from the main TM or run Concordance?

Did you try the Finalize option?

Yes, I check the TM by reopening the file, usually the segments appear as CM in the TM box.

I did a test now and checked for a recently updated segment in the TM window of Trados, outside the translated document, and it was there! But opening the file again, I can't see the result in the TM panel on the editor, how come that's possible?

Also, about the finalize batch task, I ran it but the result is the same, the panel on the editor does not show the recently updated segment. I did not want to use this finalize task because some clients don't like to receive finalized files, so I'd have to reopen the files to make them editable again.

But, considering that the upgrade main memories is working by itself, the only problem I still have is the new entries not showing in the TM panel on the editor, even though it's a CM match and it's inside the TM.

Any thoughts on how to fix it, please?

So you verified that everything is fine in the TM view, but not in Editor.

In the Editor I guess you expect to see something in the Translation Results window, right? Is it empty? Does Concordance (F3 shortcut) work? Could you post a screen-shot of what you get?

I’d check 2 things:

• In your Project Settings, check that your TM has all check boxes ticked:
  
• In File > Options > Editor > Automation, and check that this checkbox is ticked:

Correct, in the Editor, in the Translation Results window: it is empty.

If I use F3, it appears! But as a 99% match...

The settings you asked me to check, are just like yours, like the two images.

Any other idea I can try, please?

Maybe you have a penalty applied to the main TM.

Please post a screen-shot of what you see in Translation Results window and in your Translation Memory (your project settings).
