This error has started to occur for me in translation mode but not in review mode. I found a suggestion to use repair. That didn't work. The next suggestion was to delete some xml files. That fixed the problem, but I lost all my settings. So I imported my saved settings and the problem was also back. I think the problem started after a Windows update. I have Windows 11 and Trados Studio 2022 SR1 - 17.1.8.17828.

I would suggest trying a Studio repair and reset, following the steps from this article:

As mentioned, I already fixed it. However, if importing my original settings file into Trados, the error reappears. The settings file was created after making some pretty vanilly changes that Trados Studio allows you to do.
And now it has happened again. Very frustrating.
