Termbase Viewer layout resets to Flags Layout in Trados Studio 2022 SR1

I have the same issue with Trados Studio 2022 SR1 - 17.1.8.17828

Looking the to use one of the solution and cannot even get started.

The top box at the top left showing "Flags Layout" cannot be turned to "Default Layout"

What do I need to do?

  • Hello Paul,

I understand that you're having trouble changing the Termbase Viewer layout from "Flags Layout" to "Default Layout" in Trados Studio 2022 SR1. Here are the steps you can follow to change the layout:

Step 1: Open Trados Studio and go to the "Termbase Viewer" window.

Step 2: Click on the drop-down menu at the top left corner of the "Termbase Viewer" window. This is where you're currently seeing "Flags Layout".

Step 3: From the drop-down menu, select "Default Layout" or any other layout that suits your needs. The five default layouts available are Flags Layout, Full Layout, Languages Only, Source/Target, and MultiTerm Classic.

If you're still unable to change the layout, it might be a temporary glitch. Try restarting Trados Studio and repeat the steps. If the issue persists, it might be a good idea to reinstall the software.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,

  • I fixed that problem this way: Go to ANSWER LIST SETTINGS on the right corner of the Terms Recognition window. Once there, click on the tab RESTORE DEFAULT VALUES. This worked for me.
