Trados keeps closing when I try to confirm segment change: "Value cannot be null. Parameter name:baseUrl" Trados Studio 2022 Professional

I did not have this problem last week but when I try to confirm my segments through Ctrl + Enter the whole Trados closes down without any notification.
If I click the Trados Studio 'Confirm' button icon with a pencil and checkmark.then this Error comes up. Error message window in Trados Studio stating 'Value cannot be null. Parameter name: baseUrl'.

I have tried to follow this article but https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000011647 I cannot solve it through this method.

Your help on this matter will be really appreciated since I cannot translate any content with this issue.
Thank you for your time.

Yours Sincerely,
Dessy

  • Hello Dessy,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with Trados Studio 2022 Professional. The error message you're seeing is usually related to a problem with the connection to the server. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Ensure that you're using the latest version of Trados Studio. You can check for updates within the application.

Step 2: Try to clear the cache of your Trados Studio. You can do this by going to "File" > "Setup" > "User Profiles" > "Reset Window Layout".

Step 3: If the problem persists, you might want to consider reinstalling Trados Studio. Before you do this, make sure to back up your settings and resources such as Translation Memories and Termbases.

Step 4: If none of the above steps work, it might be a server issue. In this case, you might need to contact your server administrator or the person who provided you with the server details.

Please note that these are general troubleshooting steps and might not solve all issues. If the problem persists after trying these steps, it might be a more specific issue that needs further investigation.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
