Inherited some translated Robohelp files - Best way to create TM?

I've recently moved to Trados from Lingo, we've found Confluence/Trados to be a much quicker translation process than Flare/Lingo. I'm learning as I go, so forgive a possibly basic question....

We have some legacy products that were created in Robohelp many years ago, and each one has been translated into multiple languages. I've found all the Robohelp projects/associated files but we no longer have Robohelp, or the XLIFF/TMX files that were used to create the translated projects.

I'd love to get these translations into a TM but struggling to do this. I tried the alignment feature, but each project has in excess of 500 html files and the alignment was all over the place, mismatched files etc.. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to get these translated Robohelp html files into a TM?

    I wish I had a simple answer for this one, but I don't think there is one.  If you don't have the bilingual files and only have originals, and translated, then alignment is going to be your best bet.

    Perhaps you can break them down into small bundles of work for the alignment to help make it easier to ensure you don't have file mismatches?  So some manual inspection of the files before saving them together in a folder for alignment?  Ultimately it probably doesn't matter that you have them in any articular order or structure to follow the way the website is managed.  It's just about being able to align the source and target sentences.

    Not sure if anyone else has any suggestions, but I think I'd tackle as a data management problem rather than considering it as a website alignment.
