Hi,

This morning my Trados Studio 2022 Professional SR1 (17.1.6.16252) seems to be going haywire with two new quirks. 

The spell checker is suddenly checking every word, like "from," "the," "into," "for" etc. This has rendered the spell checker pretty much useless. The suggested spellings are in German. The source language is German, but the target language is English. It's treating the target language translation as if it were supposed to be German.

This seems related to the second quirk. Whenever I try to put in American English quotation marks, Trados Studio changes them to German-style quotation marks. To compensate, I have to choose the correct form from QuickInsert in the Home ribbon.

This suggests that Studio thinks I'm supposed to be translating into German instead of English. Yet I know that when I set up the single-file project, the correct languages for source and target were chosen.

Does anyone know what to do about this? I ignored the quotation mark problem because I had a work-around, but it's only now that I've finished translating and am running the spell checker that I realize Studio is mixing up languages.
