Seems like the window is hidden behind another one. Can't you locate it using ALT-TAB?

Please reset your window layout (View - Reset Window Layout) to see if that makes the window visible.

If it still does not show up, I suggest you do a RESET of your Studio instance according to the instructions here.

Dear Walter, I have this same problem, but the Window Reset doesn´t help. See the screenshot attached below, please. The window is hidden and the option Find and replace, if opened manually from the Home tab is shown grey, that is unavailable:

In this case I will autoreply (in case there is someone out there with the same problem). Well, actually I was in the "Multiple displays" mode and, even when working woth the laptop only (without connecting the monitor) the options were as follows:

And, as a quite curious result, my Studio did not allow me to use the Find and Replace / Search function.

So, colleagues, if some day you have this kind of problem, firstly, check out your monitor setup.

Hi, can you please tell us the solution as well. I have two monitors and of course I have to use the "multiple displays" setting. What did you do differently to make it work?

could you explain me your problem? What exactly does not work in your case? If you use the "multiple display" setting, you can duplicate or extend them, depending on what you need. 

However, I had another problem with Find and Replace (the window appeared as hidden) and the solution was as follows: 

Close Studio and go to:

• Trados Studio 2022:

                 C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17

• Trados Studio 2021:

           C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16

Rename the following files(just add any symbol to the name of each file):

When you reopen Trados, the Search and Replace window will be available again.

in the end, my problem was that the F&R window had moved out of the screen (how and why do such things happen?).

Funny enough, my solution in multi display mode was to close the laptop lid properly. After checking, all worked fine. 2 sheets of paper between the laptop and the lid was enough to keep it from functioning :(  This happened with ThinkPad, if relevant.
