SDL Studio is very slow when moving from any tab to "Projects" tab

Hi,

When working with SDL Studio 2014 SP2 and moving from any tab to the "Projects" tab, SDL Studio thinks for a couple of minutes (Not Responding) and then it allows me to keep working.

I've noticed also that SDL Studio 2014 SP2 use approx. 1 GB from my PC RAM memory, while it my colleagues PC it uses less than 100 MB.

It is important to mention that I have the SDL Licensing Server Toolkit installed n my PC.

Can you please advise how to solve it? Is the Server Toolkit affect?

Regards

Fouad

Please try the following experiment (close Trados first):
    1. Go to your "Studio 2014" projects folder.
It should be located in C:\Users\[YOUR USER NAME]\Documents\Studio 2014\Projects

    2. Find "projects.xml" and make a backup copy of it somewhere.

    3. After you make a backup copy of "projects.xml", delete the "projects.xml" inside of the "Projects" folder.
    * Important: Make sure you have a backup copy of "projects.xml" before deleting.
If you lose this file, you cannot restore your project list.

    4. Open up Trados and see if the lag is gone. Note that your projects list will be empty because you deleted it in step 3.

If the above solves your problem, then your problem is your projects list is too big.
Also, you can restore your original projects list by moving the backup copy back into the "Projects" folder.
