Generate group content in Target based on group content in Source

Question

I am looking for a way to automatically generate parts of the Target when there are specific groups of words in Source.

For example, you have strings of the following format: <jobs hiring> for <first time dads>.

Let's call <jobs hiring>=X and <first time dads>=Y, then the above would be of the format "X for Y"

I have a file with ks of strings: X1 for Y1; X2 for Y1; X3 for Y1; X1 for Y2; X1 for Y3; X2 for Y1; X3 for Y2; etc-etc-etc. Is there a way to make Trados look for all X1s, X2s, Y1s, Y3s, etc in Source and generate relevant translation in Target automatically? The same way one would do in excel with IF command.

 Well.. Trados isn't Excel so you can't use IF statements to control what goes in there! But I guess you could use something like the Regex AutoSuggest provider and build in your expressions. That would work when you do this interactively:

 You might be able to use the TermInjector to do this through a pre-translate too:

 Maybe that will help you see a way to handle this with some sort of automation. 
 Another way is to add them to your termbase, and you might find that Match Repair will correct them automatically as you work. Can't be sure that will work as it's more of a black box, but it might do.
