So twice now Trados has updated and removed all my projects. Two out of three I could open no problem but one of them (the same one both times, which happens to be my masters dissertation!) gives me this error message: "An error occurred whilst trying to determine the file version"

I have tried the following solutions following various other forum posts:

- Restarting the program

- uninstalling and reinstalling the program

- updating both SDL and Windows

- renaming template folder

- deleting .xml file from projects folder

- shortening the file location for the project

I am in the process of trying the same project file on a different, more modern device, but a 30 day trial will be insufficient to complete my now twice-inaccessible dissertation.

Any advice to resolve this would be appreciated.
