Font not rendering correctly after conversion to .mif

Recieved a mif file from a translator and the special characters in the Polish language do not show correct.

I have tried all fonts possible (Arial, Arial Unicode, Arial CE) (plus many more)

If I copy text from PDF into FrameMaker the text displays correctly. 

That tells me the problem is not with FrameMaker. (I could be wrong)

I think its due to the conversion from Trades to .mif. 

When the file is opened in Trades everything looks fine. When it gets converted back to .mif is where the problem shows.

I was wondering if there is a process in Trades that the translator is missing causing this issue?

 

The translator said he is using SDL Trados 2014.

    Which version of MIF? MIF was not Unicode before times, so this could be the culprit, if the translator has converted newer MIFs to be able to work with Studio 2019. Check the encoding of the MIF files.

    And which font has been used in the source FM?
